Firm Overview

CWB Architect is a licensed residential architecture firm located in the town of Red Hook in New York State's Hudson Valley. Completed projects are located throughout Dutchess, Ulster and Columbia counties.

Christie Wheate Billeci is the sole proprietor and started the firm in 2002. The mission of the firm is to create affordable, beautiful buildings that integrate seamlessly with their context while meeting the spatial and financial requirements of the owners and treading lightly on the earth. Projects include large and small additions to homes, renovations and accessory buildings.

The Architect

Christie Billeci offers a personal approach to her clients and takes the time to explain ideas and discover solutions that are extremely individual and successful on many levels. Influenced by her personal commitment to living and building sustainably, her designs are thoughtfully created to make beautiful, efficient space that improve quality of life.

Christie received a Bachelor of Architecture from Roger Williams University in 1993. She then interned with both architects and professional engineers doing both residential and commercial work. Christie was granted a license to practice architecture by the State of New York in 2001. In addition to managing her own business and minding her family's animals and kitchen garden, she volunteers as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Tivoli Free Library, at her children's school, and at the 'Engineering, Architecture & Computer Technologies Department' of Dutchess Community College.
